Transition Barrie is presenting a series of visioning sessions and design charettes to explore the possibilities for developing the City of Barrie’s annexed lands to the south thru the principles of Permaculture.
Hosted by Steve Dearlove, the intent and goal of these charettes is to come up with a conceptual layout/plan to present to the City as part of their public input in the planning and development process of the annexed lands.
BAU (business as usual) planning does not address any of the notions of Transition or Permaculture. It is our desire to encourage the City to take a new approach and demonstrate leadership in the planning of its new habitation.
***Meeting will be at Minets Point (Yonge St & Minets Point) NOT Downtown
Objectives:
Summarize the concepts we wish to present to the city at our Oct 12th meet-up
Prepare a presentation
Determine who will present
Finalize an agenda for Oct 12th

This sounds like a great meeting. Having the opportunity to apply Perma Culture Principles to our new annexed Barrie lands will be an informative and interesting session. I really look forward to participating.
