Dear Green Thumbs of Barrie,

Here is the link to the City of Barrie for more information on the community garden, http://www.barrie.ca/Content.cfm?C=9516&SC=1&SCM=0&MI=1812&L1M=4. This garden was built in mid-November by volunteers from Living Green Barrie.

The price to rent the plot with tax is $22.60 for the entire season. Most importantly, it is first come first serve for being able secure the rental of one of the plots, starting January 4th. You can mail in your contract and a cheque to City Hall. If you work a 9am-5pm job, mailing your contract and cheque might be a good idea, otherwise you have to turn up at City Hall on Monday, January 4th.

This is a great opportunity for the City of Barrie to become more green, connected to our community and better gardeners! It’s a great opportunity for new green thumbs to learn from experienced green thumbs in the area. Please pass this along to anyone you know who may be interested. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me. Also, if you do decide to rent a plot please let me know so that I can have a better understanding of the demand for the plot rentals.
